    imageres.dll icon list/specifications


    Hello.
    I would like to change many icons via Res. Hacker in imageres.dll but i have small problem.
    There is a bunch of icons in imageres.dll and i dont know for many icons for what they are so is there some list or specification for these icons?
    Something like:
    Icon number 1 - music folder
    icon number 34 - default folder
    etc
    Sorry for my bad English but i hope you understand what i`m looking for :)

    Hello Acidi, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    You could install the free program IconViewer to add the Icons tab to files (ex: imageres.dll) that contain icons in them. As you see in the screenshot below, you will be able to see what the icon is for each number in the file (ex: imageres.dll).

    Thx, this helps but not too much.
    As you know, in imageres.dll there is a bunch of various icons and i want to change them almost all but using IconViewer i cant find what is number for icon of default folder, or open folder or network devices or network drive off etc, you know what i mean. :)
    So some list with explanations will be best solution. :)
    Anybody can help me?

    Welcome to Seven Forums Acidi Borici. I have yet to see where anyone has completely mapped the imageres.dll. Even the theme creators only know the most commonly changed locations, and most use a styler program to make changes. This is just a picture, and no help, but it's as close as I could find. Sorry.
