I cannot see my panel at the bottom of the screen anymore after using the link in the post.
I did this.1) Set Folder Options to Show hidden files, folders...
How? The only way I can get the *.mpg file to show renaming it to *.jpg, but then it still won't set as the wallpaper. The wallpaper stays the same when I choose it.2) Set *.mpg or *.wmv as Desktop Background.
3) Right-click desktop > Personalize > Desktop Wallpaper.
What hidden *.jpg?4) Select the hidden *.jpg.
How do you do this?5) Set *.mpg or *.wmv as Desktop Background again.
I'll post a way how after I can get this to work.Works until reboot. Maybe someone can create a file to run at startup for a more permanent fix. I don't think it would be to difficult but it's beyond my capability.
Download this attachment and follow the instructions inside.
This works confirmed in Professional 64-bit.
And if you can do something for icon text fix then please do.
This fix seems to work. There are some flickerings at shutdown and startup, but works.
Just execute 'install fix.bat'.
Cheers!
P.S. This fixes the transparent text from desktop icons. It doesn't activate dreamscene.

You can do it easily with DreamScene Activator.
Fix transparent icon text from desktop & automatically reenable Dreamscene whenever it encounters an error
WHAT IT DOES
------------
* This script fixes the transparent icon text from your desktop:
- Goes to folder '%AppData%\Microsoft\Windows DreamScene\' which is usually 'C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows DreamScene\'
- Deletes files 'DreamScene.jpg' and 'Img001.jpg' and replaces them whith folders whith the same name, making them read only
I could've just made them read only by attributes, but a flickering of them might appear occasionally
- Copy files 'Image1.jpg' and 'Image2.jpg' to this folder and set them as desktop background slideshow
These files are 1 black pixel each. They will appear as black screen at startup and shutdown for a few moments.
You can replace them with anything you want, if you don't like black too much.
The fix is valid even if you change the video background or restart the computer.
But if you manually change the desktop background image, or mess-up with personalization, this fix is disabled, so, you need to apply it again.
* Automatically activates Dreamscene on startup whenever "Windows Dreamscene encountered an error", usually when the computer doesn't shutdown normally (power failure or reset).
Exactly what I was looking for! Thanks! :)
