    HTC Home Weather Gadget

    HTC Home for Windows

A nice clock and weather widget, which is the same as what's used on HTC mobile phones. It goes quite well with aero theme, and can be customised to start on startup, the size can be changed, the weather animation (the clouds you see on the image) can be disabled.

It's a nice looking gadget and worth a look.

It doesn't install like your normal gadgets, either. You need to run the .exe file that's in the .zip folder. So extract it to a folder and put the folder somewhere, then run the .exe.

Then it is really just a utility program of sorts.

It's not really a utility program. It just sits on the desktop like any other gadget would, and the customisation options are like any other gadget.

Looks nice, but watching the video it just sits in the middle. Would be nice if you could move the clock in a corner somewhere and still have the annimations. Not bad though.

BTW my I love my HTC's phone annimations.

You can. I have it in the top right corner of my secondary monitor. You can drag it around like any other gadget you'd have on your desktop. The animations can be enabled/disabled in the settings.

Don't know why they didn't show that you can move it around in the video, as it does make it seem it just sits in the middle of the screen.

Yeah. And thanks for clearifying. I might give a try, though I rarely use annimated gadgets on my desktop.

    Thanks.

I like it, thanks. Maybe it isn't a gadget in the traditional sense, but I still like it. Who knows whether or not I'll keep it long though.
