    Hide Time & Date In Taskbar


    Hello all:
    I know that I can hide the date in the taskbar by checking "use small icons" in the taskbar properties dialog, but it still shows the time. Is there a way to hide both the date and time in the taskbar? I've looked all over the web, but all of the little apps on offer don't seem quite legit.

    Any ideas?

    Hi siouxdax,

    Right-click your taskbar and click 'Properties'. On the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window, under Notification area click 'Customize...'. Click 'Turn system icons on or off' and look for Clock and its corresponding drop down menu. From there, choose OFF, and click OK.

    System Icons - Turn On or Off

    Yes, but this also hides all tray icons. I want to hide just the clock and date.

    Hi,

    If you follow the tutorial of Brink: System Icons - Turn On or Off you can see that next each of the different system icons is a little drop down box where you can choose to turn on or off the icons you want to be displayed or to be hidden from the taskbar.

I am looking for a way to hide just the time from the taskbar without hiding the date itself. Alternatively I would be ok with hiding both of them via the normal settings option but keeping a way to access the clocks and calendar via the taskbar.
Noticed on a browser picture submitted by another member that the task-bar displays the time and date. Mine only displays the time. Is this a windows 7 option I can turn on? Looked in properties but could not find out how. 133056

Hello, i just restarted my computer, did not install anything new and the taskbar now does not show date or time. I tried to increase the size of the taskbar to 3 rows but it still does not show date and time. I have checked the properties and notifications centre and restored them to default....
Have set the correct time zone, set the date and time, and within half an hour, the time jumps ahead significantly. Time then continues jumping periodically, and date as well. Any patch available for this? Thanks.
I see that the time is displayed but in spite of setting date it does not show on the taskbar, what am I not doing or doing wrong? Thanks for responding
