    @RBCC

    Sorry For Responding So Late,

    you Open OobeFldr.dll in Restorator OR Resource hacker or a simular app

    and the exe file is called GettingStarted.exe

    NOT Welcome.exe OR WelcomeCenter.exe like you would assume

    It does work. But we need moar themes.. which is easily made. As all we need to create a startup logo is 105 bmps, at 200x200 px . So. Im gonna do afew themes and you can comment on 'em soon.

    If you wanna "tweak" your os without even rolling up your sleeves imo is lame and lazy. That way you'll never learn how to actually "tweak" your os.
    Well said

    ... all i said is that most people want a neat little app or .reg key to install to achieve the end result . . . if not for hackers a lot of os customization would not be possible.
    A. Go write an app yourself. Programmers don't have the time to endlessly write lines of code for others who don't understand a complex system beyond *point* and *click*

    B. Hackers are really just programmers, in a sense, in the way that script is manipulated into doing something different, sniffing for security holes or making back doors

    If it wasn't for freelance programmers with a lot of time on their hands, a lot of great apps and software wouldn't be floating around.

    Bythe way,I never had a single virus with XP ('cept for blaster mybe ) and i used a TON of bootscreens (which were freakin' exe's! Dont tell me, THOSE weren't security risks!)

    My main goals (as the developer of the software) are for the following reasons:
    • Branding (selling computers with your branding instead of / in additon to MS's)
    • Hide the fact it is Windows (for HTPC's, medical devices, and other specialized equipment)
    • For machines frequently started up / shutdown (car PCs)
    • Because you can

    I cannot get win7 boot updater to work on my system. I'm using windows 7 ultimate x64.
    Figured it out, I was using service pack 1. I just did a fresh install and win7bootupdater works sweet.
