Change Boot Logo/Screen?

    That's for the logon screen like the Welcome screen not the initial boot splash screen you see right after the post tests complete on start up. XP and Vista saw the scrolling bar on those while 7 has the new emblem assembling seen in the image above.

    Ok. Wrong screen. Sorry. I can see the dificulty for those who like to watch their computers booting up!
    It could be a risky undertaking to interfere with the bootup process, I'm thinking? If it becomes possible, it would be a goldmine for hackers.

    When first setting a dual boot with both flavors of the RCs the EasyBCD tool knocked out the new 7 splash screen you see there for the Vista one instead. I ended up downloading the BCD Editor separately found in both 32bit and 64bit versions and had to try out the repair install method anyways to see that restored.

    Fortunately when I restore the image of the fresh Vista installation with SP2 made I won't have to contend with that again! Hopefully the next version of the EasyBCD tool itself will be updated enough for 7 once available.

    why is it so ******* hard to work this out we want to change the BOOT SCREEN not the logon screen

    you can do it with tune up utilities but that doesnt work on on windows 7 i havnt tried bootskin by stardock tho
