    How to disable the auto folder in the taskbar


    i want to use my custom folder links in my task bar w/o the default folder explorer popping up.... anyone know how to disable this feature

    ???

    You could right click and then unpin
    Taskbar - Pin or Unpin a Folder

    no it comes up due to my custom pinned folder path (text.exe trick) ... its pissing me off

    Hello Jer, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    Yes, that's exactly why you are getting the icon since you are using explorer.exe in your trick. If you use the tutorial Richard posted above instead to pin a folder of your choice, you will be able to use any icon that you like instead.

    What folder are you wanting to pin?
