    Remove desktop icon text?

Title says it all. Also, I cannot use [Alt+###] on my computer.

Make it sure that the "Num Lock" light is on, coz it is to be typed in the number pad ([--] says that you know the technique so I am not saying more ) .

I have a netbook. I do have the row of 1-0, but it doesn't respond when I attempt to use Alt+ those keys.

Select the icon> right click> rename> delete the text. Right click in that rename box and select "Insert unicode character", select anyone and click anywhere on the desktop or press enter.

Alt+0160 will give you a blank (symbol) name but you can only use it for 1 shortcut. What multiple Alt+0160 do I don't know.
