I got it working Doc. But, this is goin to take some splainin' to do.

I placed the un-zipped (ST) SphereTimer file into this folder:
    C:\Users\Amln0\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\SphereTimer_English.Gadget

It was in this Folder that I changed the extension from .gadget to .exe
It asked if I really wanted to do this and I said yes.
The file then changed into an application.

Then had to go and turn Gadgets features on in:
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features
Re-booted, but still didn't have ST showing in Gadgets cpl.

So I checked C:\Users\Amln0\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\SphereTimer_English.Gadget again and the app file expanded to a dozen files, re-booted again still no gadget.

I then thought what if I place the original SphereTimer _ English.Gadget file into C:\Users\Amln0\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\SphereTimer_English.Gadget

So I went to where I downloaded and un-zipped it originally:
    C:\Users\Amln0\Desktop\Web Downloads\SphereTimer_English

Here's the weird part....As soon as I clicked on the file to drag it over to the sidebar\gadgets\folder a dialogue box pops up and tells me that this file needs to be installed, but it will overwrite the one that is already there, "are you sure you want to do this"?

So I said yes, when it was finished it re-booted itself and the ST gadget popped up onto the desktop, and it was listed in the gadget cpl.
I rechecked the sidebar\gadgets\folder and nothing changed there, but the file that I wanted to click an drag changed from
    SphereTimer_English an app file to
SphereTimer_English a Windows Gadget file with the little clock to the first pix.
The next pix is showing it on the desktop.

Hopefully everything is stable, and will run okay. I would like to thank you Doc Brown, and A GUY for helping me figure this out, and offering suggestions along the way.

    Thanks Men....Anak

I believe this would have been much simpler had you known the gadgets sidebar wasn't running. Once you had it running, the normal gadget installer worked. Good you got it working. A Guy :)
