Cannot Change order of Pinned Taskbar icons

Hi Guys Im new and have never posted here before, so please help me out.
I have my computer specs, I have windows ultimate 64-bit completely updated and Im having some trouble with pinning to the taskbar

So I can pin items fine, but I can no longer change the order of the taskbar items.
I previously had (from left to right) Chrome> WMP > Explorer > Steam (Gaming Platform)
Only those four in that order, I tried pinning something else, which didnt work, and now I have this dilemma - it changed the order of the pinned icons and now I cannot seem to change them back into the desired order. Im guessing some regedit might fix this.

Tried locking and unlocking the taskbar
    also tried going to
    C:\Users\"user"\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar
and checked to see if there was any pinned programs that shouldnt be there. Any other Ideas?

Hello Alex, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Are you left clicking and holding on the icon, then dragging it to the left or right and releasing left click at where you want it on the taskbar within the other icons?

Hi guys, sorry for the wait for my reply to your responses. Yes i had tried both of those suggestions, In the end I decided to unpin all of my icons in the taskbar and repin them in the order I desired (there are only 4), I believe the problem had also been experienced by a few other people when they tried to pin COD Black Ops to their taskbar - may have something to do with extreme anti-tampering of COD files, or they may have fixed it again in an update. I wont try it again (pinning black ops to the taskbar) because I believe I can pin to the taskbar and change the order as I desire once again.
    Thankyou for your help
