    'See through' gadget bar?

I have installed a vertical gadget bar on the right side of the screen. I've had this bar installed pretty much since first installing Windows 7. I've done 'something' that now causes application screens to no longer be functionally transparent through the bar. IOW's, I used to be able to click an application's vertical scroll bar through the gadget bar but now cannot. How do I return to my previous setting?

    Thanks,

    Mark

    what's the gadget?

does it have a 'click through' setting (or similar)?

It's not the individual gadget but the 'vertical bar' wherein any of a series of gadgets may be placed. I'm fairly certain that MS uses a similar setup for their gadgets.

i don't use gadgets, but my understanding is that in vista, you had a gadget bar, but with 7 you can place them anywhere on the desktop.

can you right-click on your gadget or bar, and do you get a menu or options? look for a 'click through' setting

No click through but I unchecked the 'always on top' option and that's a decent alternative.

    Thanks,
