Tutorial request

Is there a tutorial on how to create your own avatars and sigs using apps like Paint.NET or Photoshop CS5? I tried searching the forum but no avail. Or perhaps, can some of you GFX Gurus can make a new tutorial on creating a new custom signature?

have (hours of) fun! luckily photoshop comes with a month's free trial.

i find the most difficult thing is the original idea!

that's why i haven't changed mine for over a year.

You're welcome, Dinesh.

I'm afraid my artistic skills are non-existant and, such as they are, they make a 3yr old's paint splattering look like a masterpiece.

Here's a tutorial I made a while back, nice and easy for those that are just starting. Custom Made Sig and Avatar [2]

and here's some textures for you to play with when you feel a bit more comfortable with sig creation

Custom Made Sig and Avatar [2]

Feel free to drop me a line if you get stuck on anything. Or you could just mosey on down here Custom Made Sig and Avatar [4] and ask some of the others for assistance if you need it ... hope this helps a bit pal
