    HOW to remove UAC protection shield from shortcuts


    is it possible to remove the UAC protection shield from shortcuts ??

    It is possible to turn UAC off. Are they uac shields or bitblocker?

    its UAC shields...

    would turning off UAC in windows 7 reduce security ?

    i just want to remove it since my "The Last Remnant" shortcut has it
    and it doesnt look good

    got it now.. i changed back the compatibility mode to default and the shield disappeared

I have a nice black and white custom desktop theme going on and I want to remove the elevated icon shield from a program icon. It's the yellow and blue icon. I had a problem running rainmeter and had to run it in winxp compatability mode and that shield icon is harshing my desktop.
I'd like to remove the UAC shield on my desktop icons without removing the UAC functionality. Is there a way to replace the shield image with a transparent ico file, so that the shield would effectively disappear? If not, is there any other way to remove this shield without altering UAC...

I can not send my any files to my pen drive... When i was sending a file or copying into my pen-drive i always got message "bla..bla..bla..write-protection" :mad: and i tried to format that pen drive i still can not do that. any idea how to remove it?

Hey I just got my computer yesterday and it was working fine all day but when i turned it on today It wouldn't let me move, edit, save or delete any files in my G:/ drive because it says it is write protected. Is there any way I can remove this write protection? PS. I have tried a system restore...
