    Second taskbar in W7

    Heya fellow SevenForumers!

So let's go straight to the point, what I'm looking for is an free application which allows me to use 2 taskbars simulately. Like in Ubuntu, if you know what I mean.

It shouldn't use too much resources because I'm running a pretty bad CPU.

I have googled like 1000 pages but didn't find anything but the typical RocketDocks etc.

I used Ubuntu for a long time and I decided to try out the Windows 7 and I fell in love with it (even though it has some problems, but minor). The only things I miss is the upper bar and the fact that there are no threats for it.

So would it be possible to get a bar like that for Windows 7? Don't tell me to just movie the current taskbar to the upper corner, I'd still like to have it there

Also, has anyone ported Human for Windows 7 yet? I just love that theme!

So overall, I want my Windows 7 to look like Ubuntu because I'm so used to it

    Please help me!

My suggestion is to back to Ubuntu, because this can't be done in Windows as far as I know...

I second that, Microsoft needs to have this option though.. I'd love to have multiple taskbars but I'm sure there is a reason they haven't incorporated it yet.

So there's no application of anykind which would allow this? I'd rather not go back to Ubuntu because I recently started Counter-Strike again and it runs with low fps on Ubuntu because I have to run it through Wine.

So if there really is no way to make it, I'll live with it.

I just thought I saw someone running xp with 2 taskbars I just don't remember where it was.

I know you have dismissed the usual suspects when it comes to taskbar alternatives - rocket-dock & object dock. I do feel however that with a little work a suitable theme could be found to give you at least some of the functionality you require

If you dont mind me asking if you wanting two task bars why dont you just have your task bar extended across the two monitors? If your using an ATI card its not hard its a setting under hyrdavision. Now nvida i have no clue about them.

The request here is for two task bars on the one monitor - one at the bottom and one at the top of the screen as seen in Ubuntu Linux
