Tweaking - How can I create a new type of folder w special functions?

How can I create a new type of folder with special functions?

I would like to create new type of folder that has a black folder icon instead of the normal yellow colour. All while still being able to create the regular yellow folders. Is that possible?

    Edit:

The copy of the black folder (which was made using your method) doesn't retain the black icon when I do a copy and paste. Is there any way for the black icon to be retained via copying?

And I didn't mean just change the icon. Maybe I wasn't clear but I want to be able to have this option when I right click:
    Create a New Folder
    Create a New Black Folder

Also, is there any way for me to give the black folder special properties?
Special properties that I would like to code for.

    If i am right...

Create a new folder >> Right click it >> Select properties >> Choose the customize tab >> Click change icon...

You will have to do this manually each time if you want to retain the standard folders

Welcome to Seven Forums jenkins. Have a look at Mr.Grim's Full Glass Blue Icon Pack if you decide to use JDobbsy's method above (which is the easiest way to do what you want).

Me too, I was going to recommend the pack with installer, but the OP wanted yellow folders too :)

As far as my knowledge goes you can't copy/paste and retain this black image... maybe someone has an idea for this??

what kind of permissions do you want to set?
you can set permissions on folders but it won't be based on being black, you will set permissions as you would with any folder.

I think as far as the colors go, you'd want something like Folderico

    Folderico

Not sure if you can copy and paste and retain color, but coloring the folder would be easy. As for permissions, that's to complex for me :)

It's not really about setting permissions. More about special functions. For example, the Recycle Bin is a special kind of folder with a special function right? Like when you drag a file to recycle bin, you can't access it (unless you restore the file).

Thanks JDobbsy and A Guy for the help you've given so far.
