    Custom Windows Keyboard Shortcuts?

How can I customize the Windows shortcuts - like WinKey + D = Show desktop and so on. Is there a not so hard to use program for it? Recently I've moved to a different keyboard layout and it's very uncomfortable to use all the shortcuts that I'm used to with the new layout.
Excuse me if there it has already been discussed. I couldn't find the thread. If so - just redirect me.

Hi pafkata90. Just a suggestion but press F1 and type in "keyboard shortcuts" (no quotes). There are many topics there. I hope this helps. :)

If you're referring to the Windows Help and Support - I didn't find what I was looking for there :) Thanks anyway

Thank you for the link. Although it's still not what I want :) I want to reassign functions like WinKey+D, Ctrl+X, Ctrl+T...

Sorry that I haven't been much (any) help. Thank You for the rep by the way even though I haven't earned it yet, but it's very kind of you. I have one last link for you, I don't think it's what you're looking for either but it is the only tutorial I can find on shortcuts. Good Luck

Right click program of choice, properties, shortcut tab. This will let you assign CTRL + ALT shortcuts.. Unsure about CTRL only and Win commands..

Tobben, I know this. Thanks anyway. I'm trying to reassign Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X, Ctrl+V, Ctrl+W, Ctrl+T, WinKey+D, WinKey+E, and some others, but these are the important ones. Like the built in Windows keyboard shortcuts. Not assigned to certain program.

For hard core tweakers: edit the scan codes in the Registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout
    Or check out KeyTweak

Thank you all but I managed to fix the ctrl shortcuts myself using Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator and creating a complete new layout. Still those with the Windows key are messed up.
PS: It's all fine now. The thread can be locked :)
