Gadgets verses [Yahoo] Widgets

I'd like to use a Yahoo widget for share ToDo lists. I'm unsure of the terminology and total blank on the technology.... Can such Yahoo widgets, which seem browser based, be used as Windows7 desktop gadgets?

Why don't you give us a link to the Yahoo gadget so we can check it out? But meanwhile, generally speaking, if you can install it on your Desktop, and it works, then Voila! You've got a Desktop gadget!

Ah ha,,, thread moved to its proper sub-forum. My apologies to the Admin for the extra admin.

@Imperfect1: Thanks. Good question, but I can't find it again now and no time at the moment. I didn't keep the info or link to the one(s) I liked, because they needed the Yahoo widget installation and that mentions Adobe Flash. So, that's a web page solution and not what I'm looking for, so I just turned away.

@DocBrown: Thanks, but like the many other to do list gadgets, it can't be shared. They're one-PC solutions. I've been experimenting with this.

I currently use Yahoo's web based calendar and todos, but having only recently discovered Windows7 gadgets, would like to get such functionality onto my desktop. I share my calendars/todos/life with MrsLC.

Win 7 12 GB verses 24 GB x64 bit
Has anyone went from say 12 GB to 24 GB in Windows 7 x64 bit? Was there any difference? What did you notice? I understanf at this point Windows 7 x64 will only use 16 GB. Would you do it again after doing it? :geek: Any help and comments are appreciated! Thanks.

Widgets or Gadgets/Sidebar: Which came first?
Everyone always says that either Apple copied from Microsoft or Microsoft copied from Apple. When they say what was copied, usually the terms "widgets" or "gadgets" pop up fairly early in the conversation. I want to know the definite answer about who had them first. My brother, who works for...
