How can I lock individual shortcuts and folder on the desktop?

So say my main icons and folder are at the top right of the screen and I never want to move them.

I want it so I can click on the auto arrange thing to sort out the rest of the icons but leave these ones there....

Can this be done in W7?

Clicking Desktop shortcuts only open folder properties...
So I woke up this morning and tried to get on the internet but all Firefox did was show folder properties. So I checked all the other shortcuts and the same thing.
