Is it possible to customize this

    Hello,
I just found this forum. Been reading some and looks like a great site with useful info and courteous members. Great find!

I am looking for information on adjusting/disabling the way open windows swap places without clicking.
For a example, I find it difficult to get to the download window quick enough to keep it on top.

Can this be disabled or the timing be changed?

    Thank you for your input.

Thanks for responding but I am looking to disable the way open windows are swapped by just moving the cursor over a open window. This only occurs when the window on top is less than full allowing the background window to show.

Someone suggested changing the "mouse_over" value but this did not affect the behavior I want to change.

It does not happen when the open window is over the desktop....

This little program is useful for the purpose. Make sure you put it into the startups so that it is always readily available in the tasktray - or pin it to the taskbar.

    Solution found

I finally found the setting to disable this, instructions follows

    Click the Start button.
Type mouse works in the Search box.
The first entry in the search results should be "Change how your mouse works".
    Click on this item.
In the Ease of Access Center window that appears, locate the check box "Activate a window by hovering over it with the mouse".
If this check box is ticked, clear it, then click OK.
