    Is this it Crescendo Theme for Win7 by =giannisgx89 on deviantART
    this theme does not look like yours? If not post a link

    How did you get the background in the start menu yours is different than the Crescendo download?

    yeah that's another problem i noticed
    its part of another theme called Glass 7
    when i switch a theme it's retaining parts of the previous
    theme.

    1st are you using Fullglass.exe or Black Glass Enhanced with these themes if so close them.
    2nd try removing Glass 7 out of C:\Windows\Resources\Themes put it on your desktop for now
    restart & check if that worked.
    If not try this SFC /SCANNOW : Run in Command Prompt at Boot if you are using universal theme patcher you will need to run it again after the sfc /scannow
    see if that helped.
