71oo like you... Is there a small up arrow to the left of the system tray? You can open the window from there. It will say show hidden Icons when you mouse over it. (Or at least it worked for me.)

Where is Run under the start menu in Win 7?

run is not there by default, since the search field works as a run box. but if you right-click and customize the start menu, you can add run back.

Good tip. To bad Networking isn't under that list. I tried running gpedit from the search field. It didn't work

I found Network under Customize. I don't know how I missed it the first time. One more question answered / Problem Resolved! Thanks. I guess not enough people use it, and if you are looking for that paticular option it's assumed you know enough to reasearch and find it. When I could not find it I thought it was gone for good. I mentioned it earlier in this thread, but I guess nobody knew the answer at that time. Good show! Thanks Garbanzo! I brought that up in the Networking forum, and was told to pin a shortcut to the start menu. Take a bow!

that's because it's not in the start menu. either create a shortcut to it, or type the full thing - "gpedit.msc".
