I miss my X very much

Before I switched to Win 7 my X was always there for me .... but now....It's gone

Ok.... I'm talking about the red X that was always up top of every XP window in the tool bar.
Is there a way to get it back in Win7 Ultimate?

    Thanks D.

    Hello Diana,

    Yes, there sure is. :)

You can use the tutorial below to add a Delete button on the toolbar of all Windows Explorer windows.
    OR

You can use OPTION TWO in the tutorial below to add a Delete button on the toolbar in one or more specific Windows Explorer window(s).
    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

I've been using Win7 since the beginning and didn't notice the missing delete button.
    I always use the keyboard.

Thanks Brink..... I've been at this since win 95 but I always get a bit nervous when working in the Registry... Plus I couldn't get full permission to change the Hive key entry. Call me overly cautious but I think I'll make a full Acronis image before I fat finger my registry.
I'm pretty sure I can do it but..... better safe than sorry.

I'll be sure to let you know how I make out with it.
    Thanks again
    D.

    You're welcome Diana,

Good idea to be safe. I would recommend to read it over a couple of times, then just be sure to follow it step by step. If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to let us know. :)

Not yet....This install is about a week old and I still have a few more programs to install and some tweaks to make before I make another full image.

Then I can be as reckless as I want!
