    System default font messed up

I uninstalled a program I didn't need anymore.....and then all of my fonts got changed. Everything from Word fonts to desktop icons, explorer, and login screen fonts got changed to italic. Is there a way to fix this without doing a restore?

    Thanks for the help :)!

    try:

    1. Open Fonts by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Fonts.
    2. In the left pane, click Font settings.
    3. Click Restore default font settings.

Just tried this....and then rebooted, still nothing changed .

Maybe I should just restore the image.....I just want to confirm though, with Macrium, the recovery CD isn't required to restore it, right?

well there is actually one more rather simple step we can try before going to the restore route.
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

okay well have you gone into personalization (desktop right click)
and just reselected the default aero theme?
That's the last one I have for you, hopefully someone else can jump in with another suggestion.
The default fonts should still be there, for some reason they are simply not being selected.
The only thing I can think of at this point is to manually revert to the default theme and see if the fonts fix themselves.

Well I ended up just restoring an image I created yesterday, all of my problems are fixed :).

Only thing is the program that caused the font problem on uninstall is installed again , oh well, I can just leave it there, its not really doing anything.
