    Rainmeter Weather help

    Hey guys,
    I've been messing around with getting back into rainmeter again and for some reason i CANNOT get ANY weather skin to work. I've tried atleast ten and cant make this work. I know my weather code (USMO0787) and I assume i know where to change it in the notes, but it never displays any weather for me. I could use some help with this issue please.

    Honestly I think the weather site that it updates from changed something again. Used to run into this with Samuarize configs too...mine stopped updating today also and has worked fine for about 2 months. It's not you.

    it's a global issue

    i've been reading over at the rainmeter forum where a member has been on the phone with weather.com for a while now. apparently this is the end. they only now realized now many people are 'abusing' their xml feed, and are going to cut it off.

    this means basically all existing rainmeter weather skins (and lots of other stuff like DX widgets, avedesk, even some stardock stuff) need to be updated. accuweather has a good feed from what i hear.

    so yeah, it's just gong to take time. i'll try to get my widget updated as soon as i figure out the format of the accuweather feed. apparently it's better anyway

    @garbanzo,

    Thanks for the info man. +1

    Just a quick question, I went back to sidebar gadgets yesterday because my rainmeter skins wouldnt stay put after playing WC3. After i closed the game or tabbed out of it, they would scrunch to the the middle of the screen and rearrange themselves. And we all know how annoying it is to move the skins around! Anyone know of a solution for locking them in place besides unclicking draggable? Thanks again.

    Well, this sucks. Anybody wanna try to fix Enigma's weather? I ain't that good with the code.

    @Stang: If you play in a smaller resolution than you have set for your desktop, then it's because the skins are set to "Keep on Screen". If you uncheck "Keep on Screen", it'll stay in place. Just make sure you don't lose it off the screen edge.

    @Nax Shale Chan,
    I guess i'll give it a go. Unfortunatley... I was so mad after spending all afternoon perfecting my rainmeter that I just deleted it all lol. Atleast I know all the skins I want, where to get them, and where they go lol. Hope it works! +1

    just relax people. rainmeter has made a deal with accuweather, they have full rights now, and they just put a huge post on their forum with instructions on how to parse the accuweather feeds. give it a couple of days, and the major configs like enigma will probably get updated...

    Garganzo is exactly right. I just read throught the 3 pages of chatter and to sum it up, weather.com makes no money off us using their RSS feeds because they cant stick advertises on our desktop (thank god) lol. So they have restricted their feeds to requiring a user account id to access the feeds but i dont think even that works right now and it costs $'s. So rainmeter has pretty much endorsed accuweather and like garb said, all the skins should be converting from weather.com to accuweather. the sooner the better!
