Having trouble restoring all my folder icons back to default

Ok so I've been fooling around with my icons these past few days. I changed some of them manually by simply going through the customize tab and others changed by using iconpackager from Stardock. However today I found an icon package I liked so I tried to apply the entire thing. Most icons changed but a few of them remained as they were before (ciment was the type I was using). I tried restoring all icons to the windows default through iconpackager and manually, and while most of them changed, again those select few retained the ciment icon look. I have this sick feeling that I somehow replaced the default folders for those select few even though I have no idea how I could have done that.

I just want to start fresh now, right back from the start. Is there a simple way to do this?

    Hello Nikosawolfie,

You could do a system restore using a restore point (if available) dated before you made these changes to undo them all.

    Hope this helps,

Some user had the same issue awhile back. I recommend the method below to restore back Win 7's default icons.

Very strange but I tried this and it didn't seem to have any problems during installation but no changes were made to any of my icons. No idea why.

I also resorted to a system restore but no luck there since I didn't want to restore too far back.

I guess I'll try my luck with the suggestions made by the first poster.
