Windows 7 ULTIMATE x64

The way i do it is to copy shell32.dll to my desktop and i only replaced bmp 633 with a white background using resourcehacker. Then take ownership of shell32.dll in system32 and rename it to shell32old.dll then copy your edited shell32.dll into the system32 folder. Reboot and all should be good.

You need to locate the resource in the .msstyles file of your theme, (Restorator works well for this) then use Photoshop to edit whatever you want into that image, replace the resource with the new image, and re-load the theme.
