Moving All Public Folders
I was wondering if you can move your public folders to a different drive? My public folder is on my C drive which is my SSD drive. Can I move them to my storage drive D drive and if so how would I do it?

You could move folders Documents, Music, Pictures etc. inside Public folder by right clicking particular folder - Properties - Location tab

Thanks - but I think you have to do this 'http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/move-button-missing-location-tab-for-public-folders-in-vista/' for Public Folders?
I wonder why Microsoft don't make this easy - it's very desireable to have O/S & S/W on a small but fast SSD and documents on a big HDD these days. By the way - I followed the instructions at teh above link and it worked fine, except that when I navigate to 'Public Music' in iTunes, it still points to the old C:\Drive location. Steven |

Why not just move the files somewhere else and share them with everybody?

Hapy to share with all, but just want to see 'Public Music' anytime I select 'Public Music' in any application. Right now, I do see the relocated Public Music (on my J:\Drive) when I press Start / Music / Public Music, but I don't when I try to navigate to it in one of the iTunes drop-downs.
Thanks.... |

Ah! I don't know how itunes picks up its files. Would including the folder in the Music library help?

Trouble moving system folders to 2nd drive... corruption of folders Hi folks, this is my first time posting here. This looks like the right place for a post like this. I'm pretty knowledgeable. I've been building my own PCs for 20+ years. I've been out of practice for a while, but I did a ton of research when I decided to build two PCs recently. Even back in... |

WLM 2011- Moving Folders Within Local Folders Have many (300+) email folders as sub-folders within Local Folders. When I want to save an email, I 'drag/drop(paste)' the email in the appropriate folder (is faster than choosing the 'move to folder' procedure). However, when hurrying (and not paying attention), I sometimes inadvertently move an... |

Public folders Hi people. I just found out that the libraries - and presumeably other "shared" stuff - sit in C:\Users\Public. Now... what are the ramifications of deleting the \Public\ folder from C:\Users? I simply dislike the whole "soft links"/junction/libraries concept. I prefer if I put file A into... |

Can't see all public folders I have a handful of folders that I have moved into Public Documents on my W7 machine. All but two of them can be seen from Shared Documents on my XP3 machine. I have compared Properties between folders that can be seen and those that can't, to no avail. I can't see any differences. Any thoughts... |
