    Accidently deleted a gadget

Hi, I didn't exactly know which forum to start this topic, it includes talking about backup but it also talks about Windows 7 customization. I thought it'd be sensible just to post it it General.
So, a few days ago I deleted my Norton 360 desktop gadget. Usually it would appear in the gadgets list but it isn't. It would be a real pain if I had to re-install Norton, so I decided to post a topic to see if there where any other options. I didn't uninstall the gadget, I just closed it. Hopefully there's a way to get it back on the desktop or (Even better) back in the 'Gadgets' list? I have a backup from when it was working, just encase that helps.

General is always a safe guess, they'll move it if need be.

If you type shell:gadgets in start menu search and open that, is it listed there?

    Hello Craig,

When you right click on the desktop and click on Gadgets, does it have more than one page available at the top right? It might be listed on the second page if so.

You might also look in the Start Menu - All Programs area to see if a shortcut to open the Norton gadget may be in a Norton folder there.

If not, then you might be able to just reinstall Norton on top of itself to do a repair install of it, instead of a full clean install of it, to get the gadget back.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

There isn't a second page, there isn't a shortcut to the desktop and there is the Norton Removal Tool and a tutorial on Symantec's website for how to reinstall it without ending the subscription or anything like that. That was the thing I was trying to avoid, even though it takes about 10 minutes.

In all programs - Norton (Symantec) right click on it- there will be an option for desktop link, but may also be a link to gadget.

I'm not sure what you mean Right-click the Norton 360 folder in the start menu or Right-click Norton in the Norton 360 folder?
