    it stops the [img] tags working for us, the address of the image always gets turned into a link pointing to it.

    I think you MODs/Admins ... have a bigger File size you can use for the pictures!
    Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 600 by 100 pixels or 146.5 KB (whichever is smaller).
    Thats a bit small for the most gif pictures! (So look on the size of your gif-file)
