    Start Orb Changer

Arc, none of the three button changers will run on my system. Is there a special way to run them?

Dont worry sometimes everything dont go well with us . Ok it is the guideline supplied by Kishan, the developer of the program :) quote from his dA page .
    How to use:

    1. Run the tool as administrator.
    2. Click Change.
    3. Select the start orb and click Open. You can get some orbs from these links: 1, 2
    4. The Windows Explorer will now restart automatically and you will be able to see the new start orb/button which you chose. Click OK.

To restore the original start orb click Restore.

You can expand the advanced settings by clicking the arrow at the bottom right corner of the window.

Checking the Add Shortcut In Context Menu option will add an Start Orb option in the desktop context menu so that you can access the tool with one click.

Checking the Add Option In Context Menu option will add an Set As Start Orb option in the context menu of all PNG and BMP files so that you can change your start orb with one click.
EDIT : Just found, the guideline is also in our forums, too !

    Start Orb Changer

Ok Arc, the problem for me is the tool will not run for me. I can take ownership, run as admin or click open, nothing happens. Seems the tool is corrupt now.

    start orb crash

hi. i have a prob wit my start orb changer.
i'm using orb changer v4 ,rocketdock and avg antivirus installed.
changing the orb works but after the system restarts(when the changing of orb is finished), i can't open my rocketdock anymore.i have to restart my computer to be able to use it.
Restoring to default orb is my other prob.
whenever i hit restore, a window
flashes that says orb changer stops responding and then asks me to close the window, when i close it, the task bar disappears too and i can't access it anymore.
i have to restart the computer to make it work but then the orb is back to it's default form.i tried disabling my anti virus and closing all other applications before trying to restore to default orb but i still get the same result..please help me..thanks a lot

    Welcome aboard :)

You may try an older version of Start button changer made by Kishan . It works for me, flawlessly .

    W7SBC.zip

Unzipping , you will get a folder, and start button changer is in that folder. Run the app from within the folder, as administrator.

I hope, it will work for you, too

You are to run this program as admin (right click and select run as administrator from the context menu) . Are you doing it ?
