    Explorer delete button

Sorry if this is the wrong forum but ...

    Where's my X???

I am so used to XP's Explorer, which had the big red X in the toolbar to quickly delete items. Win7 adds the New Folder button, which is a welcome (and overdue) addition, but it eliminated the Delete button.

Granted, I may have added the delete button in XP, but I guess that's also my point: I can't customize the toolbar at all! Or, if I can, I can't figure out how to do it.

    And that's why I'm here.

Surely someone has figured out how to add that Delete button to the toolbar of Explorer?

    Please and thank you!

Welcome to Seven Forums StickBoy. See if this helps you, not a red X, but a delete button:

Seems promising but I get a "Access Denied" message when trying to set Permissions in the Registry.

Yes, I am logged in as Admin.
    Any ideas?

    No, I'm stupid. D'oh!
Yes, I'm that idiot that didn't read the instructions carefully.
    Sorry. Off to try again!

And PS StickBoy, here's a great tutorial for further customizing your Windows Explorer toolbar, if you'd wish to:

Excellent! I love to customize things like this and I am missing much of these easy customization features in Win7. No time right now, but looks like fun reading.
    Thanks for the link!
