Everyone-
Hi, my name's Cody, and I'm working with the Windows Outreach Team to help answer questions folks might have about their copies of the Windows 7 Beta.
I saw a solution to the gadget issue online, and thought you might find it useful: Win 7 Tip: Registry Tweak Fixes Window Gadgets and UAC Incompatibility
I hope it's useful for you!
Thanks,

Thanks Cody,
Think my gadget problem is worse than that, but keep them coming.

There is a tutorial on this forum about this here. https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...off.html?ltr=G
And an even easier way to accomplish this task is here if you scroll down to Grim's post there is one for both 64 and 32 bit which run as an .exe so you don't even need to open up your registry. Fix Windows 7 Sidebar With UAC Off
As for your gadgets being squished down. If you have larger icon's enabled in personal settings you will get that.
I doubt screen res can fix this, my screen res is 1920X1200 and 1280X1024, when I move the gadget from one screen to the other there is no difference in the gadget. It's like it is folded up into a very small package, I mean small. I am using Vista right now for my Turbotax, but when I go back to 7 I will send a screen shot.
OK here are the 3 variations of the accuweather gadget, under the clock. Oh, and I lied, I tried to move these gadgets from one screen to the other and they won't, I had to start them, using the gadget gallery, from whatever screen I wanted them on. The other gadgets move freely from one monitor to the other. The only difference in screen res is that they are smaller on the higher res monitor, but the problem still exists exactly as on the smaller monitor, which is where they are in this clipping.
Naturally, these are my favorite gadgets, I guess that's how it works.
I feel your pain guys. I can't get my favorite network gadget to work at all. I did find one that worked though but it's not as pretty as the old one.
