Thanks for the screenshot, Bongo! That's very helpful.

LiamJacobs, the lego piece hands are very cool. What a creative idea! Could I bother you also to make a second version though, with numbers and regular hands for easier reading for an 11 year old?

Then he can choose between the two options.

It should go in C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets

But I don't see the clock listed as one of the 8 options in the Clock Gadget tools?

I'm sure there is something I'm missing ...

That should be the right path, are you installing the right clock?

The lego clock only has one option, second hand or no second hand.

Or just type shell:gadgets in start menu search, open that and put the unzipped folder in there like this,

Then right click on the desktop and click on gadgets in the context menu and you should get this screen,

double click on the clock and it will show up on the desktop,

    Hi everyone,

My son's classmate who battled leukemia as a toddler now has brain cancer. He had his second 7-hour brain surgery just today.

We have purchased a netbook for him and I want to "trick it out" with a custom Lego theme. I have wallpapers and made some Lego cursors. He especially likes Lego Star Wars.

I would love a Lego clock and started on it, but I'm afraid it's beyond my abilities. I was hoping someone could knock one out for me quickly. The laptop arrives tomorrow and I hope to have it ready by this weekend.

Attached is the clock face I hoped to use. I would like to add this option to the clock gadget without losing the 8 clocks that are currently there. I can supply the Photoshop file for the clock face if it's needed. I would prefer that numbers are added to the clock as this is a young boy and it will help him tell the time. I think black hands would show up the best, it should be easy to read.

His OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Anyone who has a big heart out there who could help out with this little project to make a young boy smile, I would so appreciate it!
You are doing an awesome job helping this boy finding a clock.
Please keep us posted if he needs anything else.
Our Prayer's and thoughts go with him.

Okay, I thought the clock would be native to the existing clock gadget, that's where I was looking for it. The screenshots helped, thank you!

The Lego clock is up and running ... thanks to all who helped out. I hope to deliver the netbook this Sunday if the little guy is home from the hospital.
