I've got this funny feeling that you have to resize your "canvas size" "image size" to 256x256 before you export them to png, then convert them to icons.
It seems some of the conversion software doesn't like it if they are bigger than the converted size
Boohbah/Pooman: Facing this error on every .PNG file edited in photoshop. I have done resizing to 256x256, still same error. (Same thing in .PNG files posted by pooman on prior page)
Small New Request: Can u create same slant on other side of the “S” ? (Sample image marked with Red Circle) Also is it possible to make the icon appear smaller when applied as I find the size a little big as compared to others.
ok using the pst rar you posted i opened the image in photoshop edited it by adding three red dots and saved as png then i uploaded it to convertico .com and it was ok and downloaded ok also.
are you using convertico.com to convert online?
http://www.convertico.com/
Boohbah,
I think theres sum miscommunication... i need slant on the other side of the "S" not red dots (The slash in circled in sample)
Yes, the above website converts, but still gives error at the bottom.
And i use the below websites to convert:
iConvert: Convert ico, icns, and png icons online for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux
hahaha, no miscommunication whatsoever, i used the pictures you posted as an example that editing them in photoshop i was still able to convert them to ico, then i gave you a link to the site i am converting with for you to try yourself, i added the red dots so you could see that the image had been edited. so dont panic i am not losing the plot,(atm)
the night is still young.
P.s.
at no point did i see this message when converting the icon."Conversion failed - Invalid Data"
it was the same image you gave us ,so im not quite sure why you get an error message.
I got the culprit! It's IE9..... I switched to Firefox and i no longer receiving any conversion errors.
BTW, can you please edit the above icon as i want.
And ya, where ol' buddy PooMan hiding!
