Guys I think he wants the entire name to be visible at all times. I remember a thread that had this and one thing that helped was to change the text size. Best bet to search for the thread here at seven

Good example. Now, let's say that your text is 100 pixels high. The spacing is 64. Where do you want the extra 36 pxels to go?

The vertical spacing doesn't seem to have any effect, whereas the horizontal spacing maxes out at 150 and still doesn't allow the whole file name to be displayed.

Nix that. I don't need to log off to see effect. You get two lines of text on non-focused icons. In the same place that you set spacing, select icon and choose a smaller text size. Also, use spaces in the filename for more consistent results.

I will check out one more tweak and BRB.

A word of caution to the OP.

Most people redirect their documents folder to another partition to avoid the risk of losing them when reinstalling the OS.

Please be aware that files on your desktop reside in your profile folder on the C: drive and will be lost in case of reinstalling the OS.

Make sure you move them to a safe location before you reinstall.

    By the way Antman.

I can't get used to seeing "Junior Member" under your name in eightforums.

This may be difficult to digest - I have little to say.
