I have a taskbar problem when windows are stacked

Alright, so I had to reinstall my Windows 7 because of a Trojan horse. After reinstalling, here is how my icons show when they are stacked :

They are stacked on top of each other, as you can see, and I want to see them side by side when I scroll my mouse over the icon, which is how it was before i reinstalled. Can somebody please help me and tell how I can change that, it's been driving me crazy. Thanks in advance!

Right click the start button/properties/taskbar. It's in there.

right click on your taskbar and click on properties it'll take you to taskbar & start menu properties/or go to control panel; type taskbar & start menu properties after you get that, select it to - combine when taskbar is full & if you want small icons tick mark the -use small icons tab
    hope this helps.Attachment 183175

Thanks for the replies, but I realized I wasn't clear on what I meant. I want to see my items like in the following picture, not stacked on top of each other as they are now:

So I still want them combined, but when I run my mouse over the icon, I want them to show side by side on top of the taskbar as in the picture given, not like the way they show up in the first picture. Sorry for the inconvenience, I hope now it's clear what I want and someone can help me. :)

Gocha. Mine does it automatically so you must have 'tweaked something'.

Go to the same place & tick aero peek.

    edit: No that's not it.

Those are my settings right now, I can't seem to figure this one out, I am usually very good at this stuff, but this thing is very weird and has been killing me. Is that how the settings are supposed to be?

right click & select personalize - select any of the aero themes & check if it appears the way you want it to

Switch it to an aero theme.
