Error when trying to enable/disable thumbnails using togglethumbs.reg

    Hi all,
I hope someone can give me a hand with this one. I've recently just installed a new iconpack which doesnt include live folders. And as such, my pictures folders look odd when thumbnails are enabled.

I have downloaded togglethumbs.reg from How to Enable or Disable Thumbnail Previews Quickly Using Right-Click Menu in Windows Vista and Windows 7 - The Winhelponline Blog which I have used successfully on a previous windows installation.

This time however, I receive an error.

As per instruction on the download link, I placed the togglethumbs.vbs in C:\Windows folder, then merge togglethumbs.reg into the registry.

As the error indicates, it is unable to open the registry key.. and when I look in
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced" for 'IconsOnly', sure enough, it isn't there..

All I know is that It worked on my previous install.. I've tried restarting, clearing the registry for errors etc.

Im running Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1.

Any help is much appreciated :)

    Hello CoolWhip,

If you like, you might see how this one may work for you instead. :)

Thumbnails - Enable or Disable - Add to Context Menu

    Hope this helps,
