Seems there is no need for any of this. Its all possible with a custom VS. For example look at Kiilki VS for 7 by Nittiyh. Second style has everything hidden including the address and search. Basically u just get the window frame and navigation pane if u want.

Wow you are my hero, I mean I'm not crazy about the theme but at least I can look at his work and reverse engineer how he did it to use on my own themes :P

Good luck with that. I don't have skills for doing it, but if u manage to make a mod of default windows vs or shellstyle (whichever needs to be modified :P) hope u share it here with us.

    What About the Search Bar?

Thanks to everyone for the tips. I was able to get this working for myself; I found it easier just to modify shell32.dll, that way it would work even if I switched themes.

I do have another question, though. Does anyone know if it's possible to hide the Search bar in Windows Explorer? I use a different program to do my searches, so the Search bar really serves no purpose for me.

Well u can uninstall it if u really don't use windows search. It's under control panel-programs-windows features-windows search.

Hey, I didn't know that! I did that, and now the search bar is gone! Thank you very much!

@shopbunny Hey one person found a glitch in the 32 bit version files. It makes it so explorer wont run anymore, so you might want to take that file down. The one I have on the tutorial is good though. You actually dont need all of the shellstyle.dll's that are there, particularly the system32 ones that was the one that was causing it to screw up.
