Right, I got the stuff mirrored, now, how do I change the icon on the desktop? I presume it's not with the .ico file in the root folder of the application, as after logging off and back in it still has the old logo.

    Kind regs

You'll need to save the image as a .png (Mirror1.png) for example.

Then go to ConvertICO.com - Convert .PNG format files to .ICO or .ICO format files to .PNG : Windows Vista compatible icons to convert the image to a Icon file.

Then right click on the Shortcut or Application or whatever you would like to change, and select Properties. Under the Shortcut Tab click Change Icon, Browse to (Mirror1.ico) and open it, click OK and OK.

    It should be done.

Let me know if this worked.

    Cheers Joe.

First one worked with the website, but on the second icon I enter the PNG, hit convert, then it reloads the page and doesn't show a download anymore...

EDIT: the PNG picture is quite large, 2000x2000 pixels, does it matter?

    Download GIMP
    Open it
Drop your png image into it
Go to Image > Scale image
Set 256x256 pixels and click ok
    Select File > Save as
    Type in 'whateverthenameis.ico'
    Select 24bpp and check 'compressed'

Now you can change whichever icon you want
    Cheers! :)
