Try the ones I made in post #16.
Also turn the UAC all the way down and restart your computer User Account Control - UAC - Change Notification Settings
Then follow the steps in post #6 in this thread very closely don't miss anything. Basic Networking Information
Do the same thing in both
they are different shell32.dll for each location above so do not get them mixed up the ones in the zip folders I provided are labeled for the right location.
Put UAC User Account Control - UAC - Change Notification Settings back to the original settings when done.

I am new here, but probably this was asked before. I started getting a window when I try to open attachments in email. It states : shell32.dll OPENAS_RUNDLL. What is this about and how do I correct. Thanks. Walt

Hi all, anyone having problems replacing Shell32.dll?? On reboot i get Atbroker.exe failed to start (or something like that) so i have to go into repair mode and delete it then rename original I took ownership but nothing seems to work any ideas pls :huh:
I changed this file in both sys32 and syswow64 folders but had to restore an image and now can't change them back. I have taken ownership of both folders. Even in safe mode windows tells me I can't change the file because it is in use by another program. It can't be because nothing is running in...
Can someone upload shell32.dll from %windir%\system32\ folder in windows 7? pls i need it rly bad

Ok so I accidentally screwed up my shell32.dll file can any body upload so i can replace it with a good one. Windows 7 7057 x64 Thanks!! FIXED!!
