How do I adjust the resolution on my W7 wallpaper ?

After downloading an update of I-Tunes to my laptop for my I-Pad I suddenly find a huge change in the resolution of my wallpaper pictures. I don't know if there is any connection but I haven't changed anything else. What used to fit comfortably on my 16 inch screen now overwhelms it. I cannot yet find a means of customizing the settings for this. Pictures with anything more than 800K will no longer fit on the screen. Has anyone had to deal with this ?

How to change Windows 7 desktop background

Thank you for your reply. However, this does not seem to deal with my particular issue as far asI can tell. I have no difficulty in personalising wallpaper on the desk top from my image files if that's what you are suggesting. My problem is that something has changed a setting so that images that once fitted on the screen now overwhelm it. Anything more than 800K no longer fits and most digital images are well over 1MB. I don't know if I need to change the resolution or something else. I cannot figure it out.

    Hi there

Have you tried changing the picture position to either 'fit' or 'fill' to see if that resolves your issue.

Welcome to Seven Forums translator40. Are your desktop icons also larger, or do they look normal? If you right click on desktop and choose Screen resolution, do you find the correct resolution there?
