3 Queries Regarding Windows Explorer Toolbar

    Hi

    New W7-x64 user here :)

    1. I would like to know if there is a
way to get the Favorites that is in the left hand navigation
panel on the Windows Explorer toolbar beside "Organize.....Open....New folder"
(or the very least in the "File....Edit...Tools....View...Help"
    Menu bar)

    2. Is there a way to get the Up functionality in Windows
Explorer itself without replacing the Explorer with Classic Shell
    & the likes?

    3. Can I somehow highlight the Parent Folder in the Windows Explorer
address bar? That would make navigating extremely easier.

    Thank you!
    Andy.

Classic Shell doesn't replace Explorer. It simple augments it with additional features. Each feature is disableable.
It will solve your problems 1&2. Another solution for 2 is to install Wnidows 8 Beta, which also has the Up button.

Hi, Ivo. Thank you for replying. I thought Classic Shell actually replaced Windows Explorer. (I should've noticed "shell"). I just went through few guides & tried it out. Its Amazing! Seems like it solves several more annoyances some of which I was grudgingly ready to compromise on. The detailed file copy, replace file conflict (with quick option to get Win-7 options during the copy), auto-nav to selected folder are all a boon.

However, it has not solved my primary problem - that is to get the favorites bar on the menu bar of Windows Explorer akin to XP.

While I have your attention, may I ask you a couple more quick questions...

~ Is there a way to darken the right-click context menu selection (& hover) color for Aero? The current one is terrible on eyes.

~ Is TeraCopy absolutely reliable? And does it really increase the file transfer speed on the "same internal hard-disk" and internal-HD to USB-HD/Flash-Drive?
    Thank you very much.

    **Edit**

Got it! Custom command. Link drop down. Select Favorites. This is fantastic!
Do please take a look at my last 2 queries though.
    Thanks.

I think to affect the color of the menu highlight in Aero you have to edit your theme. People here are very knowledgeable about this subject and can help you. You better start a new thread though.

I have no experience with TeraCopy. Sorry.
