    Gadgets Suddenly Stopped Working

Suddenly a few days ago a few of my gadgets stopped working, they just show up as a white box with a <. All CPU meter and my GPU Meter from Microsoft's site being the two of gadgets that stopped working and i really need them. I tried downloading and installing RivaTuner to see if it worked, and it didn't it just did the same thing. Also my Weathereye gadget also does not allow me to choose my city anymore rendering it rather useless too. I have tried the Reset_Gadgets.bat and it didn't work, also tried FixMyGadgets.cmd and also didn't work. I found on many sites about registering dll's I tried them all and to no avail. I just want to figure out how to fix these gadgets, if it was just the weather gadget it would be fine, i could handle it but i need my GPU gadget especially. I have attached a picture of what the gadgets look like, as you can see the rest of my gadgets all still work.

    My PC Specs are:
    Windows 7 Ultimate x64
    Intel i7 Core 2600k @ 4.2GHz
    ASUS P8P67 Deluxe
    EVGA GTX 580
    16Gb Ram

Welcome to Seven Forums Jj333 33. Try this:

    Start> In search box type

    Default programs

    Enter

Set program access and computer defaults> Choose Microsoft Windows> Click OK

You may have to make your favored browser, media player, and/or email program defaults again after. I have not needed to do this myself, so I am uncertain.

Not sure which association wasn't set correctly but doing this fixed my problem, thank you very much! This was pretty much the only thing that nobody else hadn't already suggested. Again thanks a ton!
