Completely disabling the Windows 7 taskbar?

    Hello.

I recently decided to acquire a "mac" look/feeling to my Windows 7 computer. I downloaded Rocketdock, along with a similiar program called RK Launcher. These programs are just docks that are meant to replace the taskbar on Windows XP and Vista.

My problem is, I have no options to completely hide the toolbar in Windows 7. I tried auto-hiding it, then locking it, but when I hover it pops up.

Basically I'd like the remove the whole thing, not permanently, but so I can use this dock program. However, if there is a better program out there, please recommend it, or anything else you think might be useful in my goal.

    Thanks,
    Robert

ObjectDock Plus includes the option to completely hide the Windows taskbar. Option may or may not be available in free ObjectDock.

Thank you very much. I will look into this.

Anyone else know of any other options available?

You can always position your task bar to the side of the screen and set it to autohide .... not a perfect solution, but it works...

I usually put the task bar at the top and have it auto hide. At first it can be a pain till you get used to it, eventually you'll stop popping it up whenever you go to end a program.

does the drag feature work in Win7? i know in previous versions you can resize the taskbar by pulling it up to make it 2 or more rows wide and you could also pull it down to make it disapear.. just wondering if u can do that in 7.. id try it but im at work.. lol
