Exclude libraries from WMP?

Has anyone figured out how to have folders in your Libraries but have WMP ignore them? there are video, etc I would like to have in the library but I don't want them to show up in WMP. Right now I don't really even use the libraries because I don't want WMP trying to add the 50k or so files I have to the library.
