    Changing the taskbar from list format.


    Hey guys I need some help, In vista If I unlocked the taskbar and moved it to the left my icons would be small icons all next to eachother. And I was able to display many icons about like 5 in a row and have 20 - 30 icons only going about an inch down from the start button. Now in Windows 7 is lists all the icons only 1 per row like list format. So after 3 - 4 icons I'm already farther down than I was in vista. so I'm searching to see if ANYONE knows how to make it like how vista has in so all the shortcuts are all next to eachother not in list format.

    Please help me and I will do my best to do anything I can do to help all of you!

    Do you mean the icons in the taskbar or your shortcuts that are on your desktop? If you mean the shortcuts on the desktop, you should just be able to drag and drop them to anywhere on your screen, so just put them however you want. If you meant the taskbar, there is an option under properties that says 'Use Small Icons', the icons are smaller and would take up less space on your taskbar if that's what you're talking about. :)

    I'm talking about the taskbar and whether you use the small icons or big icons they are still in order like this...

    [1] = icon

    [1]
    [2]
    [3]

    I want the icons to be listed like....

    [1][2][3][4][5]
    [6][7][8][9][10]

    get what I mean?

    Yeah, do what the link Lee put in says then just drag your taskbar out to make it bigger and all the quick launch buttons will go into rows. The taskbar will only go out to about halfway across the screen though.

    Lee man all i can say is your a genius =P worked like a freaking charm! I dragged it over to the left of my screen and it didnt show so I was like wtf? thne i remember to right clcik and uncheck "Show Titles" and it worked perfectly! =P
