    Can't apply custom visual styles

    Hey, guys.

I'm running a 64-bit system, and I can't get explorerframe.dll to update properly. I've disabled UAC, patched the system files, taken ownership of the files in System32 and in SysWOW64, and replaced the files with the ones I want after adding a .old extension to the ones that I want to replace, but nothing changes. The only changes that I see are from the theme files that I used. This has happened consistently with the five or six themes that I've tried. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I've tried to change the sxploereframe.dll myself, with the same result. It wasn't important enough for me to persue it, but you might look into Theme Resource Changer. Here is a link to Virtual Customs. You will have to register to see the links, but you can also get good help there.

How to use theme resource changer

If you post a link to one of the themes that you are trying to do this I will look into it. I have changed the explorerframe.dll many times with success.
