    Thanks, and same here, I've started at the beginning again so I'm looking to read through my programming books to learn the language and then maybe try and learn the Win32 API

    I did BASIC, and then started learning C++, then looked at C#.NET and made some programs in that. I want to learn C++ more now, because it seems to be able to provide as a language.

    Yes, C++ is definitely the preferred language but it has a steep learning curve.
