Wow icons !, looking good Worker
Hee, I know. It's an addiction, I tell ye'! Danke danke for the kind words, tho'; I guess my 'desktop icon legion' comes from my old Windows 98 habit (1024x768, in that case...even have one desktop screenshot from those days in my current 'My Pictures') of 'pimping out' my visible icons, and how fun it was to be able to tap 'PrintScreen' at the desktop and take a snap and be able to show it off as a JPEG; I guess I never really grew out of it. It's rare that my desktop is lightly-populated now. ^_^

As for the background picture, it's a page spread from the 'Blacksad' graphic novel, in this case the version Dark Horse translated from the French (have myself a print copy of the original French version, which is written in clear and simple enough French that my level of familiarity with the language makes it worth reading as-is ^_^) with all four chapters collected into one graphic novel.

Oooh, neat pic! I don't usually get into the habit of posting photorealistic pics; I think the closest I get to that are fan renders of starships (usually from Star Trek fan works, although not exclusively) and the occasional tweaked digital photo I take with my own camera. Other than that it tends to be game screenshots and pictures I find in passing on my Net journeys; it's rare for me to go looking for a pic that's going to look anything near as nice as yours. ^_^

Definitely like the ceiling Dock on your desktop, tho'. I've been using RKLauncher for about half of my current rig's lifespan, but after what seemed to be a configuration goof (either on my part or something internal) I can't start it without the dockline being stuck to the top of the screen and I can't manipulate it when I have started it up, nor have I found a solution online that's any less direct than reinstalling the dock from scratch (which amounts to exploding the RAR containing said files into my current install directory; nothing hardcore there) which I've considered, but so far have shot down seeing as I'll probably be doing _everything_ from scratch by Friday with my new rig. ^_^ It's simple enough that I might do it anyway, so whateva'. o_o

Well, I'm happy to be the tall guy in the tiny Volkswagen who gets out and runs after you and pulls Muntz' pants down and marches him down the street. I'm _proud_ of my abnormally tall desktop! ^_^

Hee. Danke for posting back, either way!

My desktop hasn't changed much since the last time I showed it here.
New backgrounds, installed new theme and fiddled a bit with Rocketdock. Other than that, exactly the same.

Hrm, need to clean my desktop up soon, it's getting to busy again

Looked along the roadway at the bottom and the skyline...I'm guessing either Kingston (Ontario) or Niagara Falls (I've only been to the Ontario, Canada half of the city, but said roadway looks familiar thus). I'd have offered the guess of Montreal as well because it _sort of_ looks like elements of pictures I've seen of buildings there (especially the 'scrapers in the midground) but I've only ever been there once, and I didn't do much sightseeing.
