As far as I know from one of his earlier post, Carl has 10,000+ bus photos .... and increasing everyday. So, knot your belt tight, hold your breath .... and enjoy the greatest and largest bus photo collection of the world.

I would like to suggest Carl to start an exhibition on it. It also can be a great source of earning, as there are people interested on your collection
He could write a bus book and explain all the history etc. He could also write a children's version too :)

looks like a lot of the Cornish buses,
    looks fine
,smells of damp and usually screeches or has the prop shaft knocking the floor of the bus when it accelerates
i do like buses though ,they have largely been my main mode of transport since i was a child.
there was once a coach firm ran a bus in competition with the nationals ,they charged 50p each way and the national bus cost almost 8 times that

I agree with you and I have been on old buses that have bad brakes or something else a bit wrong. Posted this from app.

Perfectly said Kari, Carl can post all the buses he would like to this thread is open to everybody and should not be criticized by anybody.
    Thanks, Jerry.

I admit I lost my temper a bit writing that. Seems this is a personal matter, antipathy against a fellow member. I mean, it seems a bit odd that it's ok to post in this Windows 7 desktop thread daily a new desktop for Unix based PC-BSD operating system barely no one is using but someone who creates nice Windows desktops showing his hobby and interest should not post.

I think in this case it was more a try to "belong to gang", a young member has noticed someone is often targeted and wants to show the gang, posting "See, me too!"
No, this was not my intention at all. It just was getting a little annoying constantly seeing pictures of a bus, but now looking back, you guys would have probably done the same thing if I was posting constantly NASCAR desktops, for instance. I shouldn't have posted that, and I now regret doing so. I apologize Carl.

Why would anyone get annoyed if you post your desktops in a desktop thread? Just to be sure I read the thread instructions (first post) again and there's nothing that limits the number of similarly themed desktops you can post.

I don't get annoyed with people posting desktops to show a nicely drawn wallpaper, icon set, them, or new gadget or dock. That's why I started to view this thread.Carl is not doing this at all, rather he's hi-jacked the thread and using it as a repository for pics of old buses.
A few pages back Bongo, I think, warned him about posting plain bus pics and it is for desktop snips. So we have what we have. As it stands this could be renamed Show us Your Bus Desktops.

This is my opinion and feelings.

Firstly my apologies for not keeping a better on 'eye' on this thread. (R/L stuff).

    EDIT:

    No cull apparently.

As for the desktops themselves, if you are retaining the same icons/layout but have many pics; the adage of "Less is More" applies here.

I only have 8'558 photos of buses/coaches and I'm not adding anymore
    A perfect example.

We do not need/want 8558 screenshots of the default Windows layout with 8558 different wallpapers.

In this example, choose and upload one new screenshot a week - not one for every hour/day.

If someone has a special themed interest - please feel free to start your own thread.

    So a reminder:

    Most important of all:

       Warning
This thread is not intended as a wallpaper repository. (There are plenty of wallpaper sites as is)

Links are preferred, but only requested images/icons/themes are to be uploaded please.

Any posts with non-requested wallpapers or mass wallpaper uploads WILL be deleted without warning

The last Desktop thread did indeed get culled because of pollution and it originally wasn't coming back. But for the most part it's humming along nicely.

Oh, there are some great looking desktops out there - keep it up!

Carl, let's respect the rules set by admins and Smartey who started this thread.

Why don't you put some of your best vintage bus and car pics on some online service and simply give us a link. Those interested can then check your pics there?
